Services

For additional information regarding any of the services described below, call the ABC Office at (509) 534-0826.

Claims Support

ABC has in-house management in Spokane, WA. This enables us to meet with doctors and employers in all of Eastern Washington and the Tri-Cities area. ABC managers can represent you on protests with the Department and appeals up through mediation at the Board of Industrial Insurance Appeals (BIIA).

ABC claims managers review members' workers' compensation claims and target those with work restrictions for purposes of assisting with light-duty accommodation and kept-on-salary efforts. We also review occupational-disease claims to ensure that a complete employment history is utilized in assessing liability, as well as that the doctor has clarified the work activities contributing to the development of the condition.

ABC claims managers may travel to your jobsite to talk with your employees or management team about the L&I claims processes, effective time-loss control practices, and the importance of ongoing communication when an injury or disease happens. We emphasize early reporting of claims, as well as near-miss incidents so as to help facilitate a culture of safety among your employees where they look out for each other and utilize best safety practices on and off the job.

Return-To-Work, Modified Duty

ABC claims managers do all of the leg work for you, sending the job analysis and list of duties to the doctor, and the job offer letter to the worker (directions to the worksite, etc.), both via certified mail and customary delivery.

Plus ABC Retro managers work with the Department, physicians, attorneys, and the injured worker to help facilitate their return to work.
