The mission of the Inland Pacific ABC Apprenticeship, Training Trust, and Education and Training Committee is to increase awareness of the construction industry to the emerging and existing workforce and to provide training, education, and a network of resources to the construction community, focusing on the "merit shop" philosophy.
The Education and Training Trust committees make donations of time and resources to the Washington Business Week's Summer In Construction program, the Spokane Construction Career Day, the Spokane Pizza, Pop and Power Tools event and the Coeur d'Alene Hard Hat, Hammers and Hot Dog's event.
We have construction representative in almost every high school in the Spokane and North Idaho area, promoting construction as a viable career choice to high school students.
If you are a member of our chapter, we are here to serve you. Please contact Sarah Cottam at (509) 534-0826 with any ideas or needs that you many have for your employees professional development.
The Education and Training Committee and the IPC-ABC Apprenticeship and Training Trust are working on developing the Construction Workforce. We have prepared a presentation with information on the construction industry to give to local area High School students.
We need your help to make sure this is a success!
We are looking for construction workers from different trades that are in their early 20's and that have a construction success story to share with these teens.
If you are interested in helping get the word out about the benefits of construction please consider volunteering an hour of your time each quarter to share your story with these students.
Please contact the ABC Office at (509) 534-0826 to sign up or for more information
