In 1954, Walt and Elaine Hiatt started Walt’s Mailing Service in the basement of their home to help local businesses. In those early years the mailing lists were run on a continuous strip of paper and rolled into the shape of a cylinder like adding machine tape. Then using a hand held machine each address was cut and glued to a mailing piece. Now, they handle all sorts of direct imprint addressing and variable data printing. They can also handle up to 200,000 mail pieces per day.

Walt and Elaine eventually retired from the business in 1980, leaving the management of the operation in the hands of their two sons, Terry and Fred. Both Terry and Fred have since retired, and Dan Mitchell has been running the company since 2014.

Much has changed since the beginning. One thing that has not, and will not change, which is that serving others is the reason Walt and Elaine got into business over 60 years ago. That remains the purpose they adhere to today. Their customers have been a part of their history. Walt’s Mailing offers just about everything related to mail, such as high speed inkjet addressing, inserting, and perfect matching. They also offer printing services. So, whether you need to mail invoices, newsletters or annual reports, or just need more business cards printed – they can help.
