The Bo Engstrom Award was established in 1992 by the Inland Pacific Chapter of ABC to recognize individuals who exemplify the highest standards of personal conduct and professional leadership. It was created to recognize excellence through enthusiasm, initiative, integrity and outstanding service. Each out-going IPC Chairman is offered the privilege of selecting the IPC-ABC member who they believe personifies these qualities and leads by their example.
Bo Engstrom was born in Spokane, WA in 1954. He was raised in Lacross Washington. His father was a CPA and owned the John Deere equipment dealership which was extremely successful.
Bo Graduated from the University of Idaho where he was a member of the FIGI fraternity. He became a CPA, like his father and brother and practiced in Public Accounting for five years with a national CPA firm in Spokane.

He married Pam, a Spokane native, his senior year in College who also became a CPA. Bo eventually purchased House of Aluminum and Embroidered Sportswear and was an awesome business man and loved to work. He and his wife had three children.
His philosophy was "Let's have fun and laugh!" He was active in his church, in the Inland Pacific Chapter of Associated Builders and Contractors, and in community activities. He had accomplished so much before being taken by cancer at the age of 35.
